The National Basketball Player’s Association or NBPA has collaborated with the SIAC and SWAC Conferences to create the first Top 50 HBCU Basketball Camp. This historic partnership will take place on July 20-22.
The Top 25 players from each conference will be competing in the state of the art Forbes Arena at Morehouse College. According to the official NBPA press release:
“The participants in the camp will take part in elite competition, featuring on-court drills and games and practices against the best players from the SIAC and SWAC, along with skill development sessions.”
Top 50 HBCU Camp participants will have the unique opportunity to be coached by current and retired NBA players. An additional goal of the NBPA is:
“To cultivate and create coaching and talent pipelines for current and retired NBA players who are exploring the possibility of transitioning into careers in intercollegiate athletics.”
