Black College Football Hall of Fame Reveals 2017 Player of the Year Watchlist

The 2017 football season is quickly approaching. Today, the Black College Football Hall of Fame (BCFHOF) added to that excitement by releasing their 2017 Player of the Year Watchlist. 

The list is comprised of impact players from the SIAC, CIAA, SWAC, and MEAC conferences who all have a chance to win the coveted Deacon Jones trophy. The BCFHOF committee bases it’s selections on a combination of past performance and future potential. The full player watchlist can be viewed below:

Can’t find your favorite player on the list? Don’t worry. The BCFHOF committee has the ability to add players to this list as the season progresses.  

On Decemeber 12th the Black College Football Hall of Fame will trim down the watchlist and announce four finalists. Ultimately, the 2017 Player of the Year recipient will be awarded the Deacon Jones trophy on February 10, 2018 during the Black College Football Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony.
