Randolph Ross temporarily broke the internet earlier this week with a hilarious viral video. Fans of the Garner, NC track star gathered to watch Ross announce which college he’d be attending in the fall. Prior to his announcement, Ross sat at a table with logos from South Carolina, Ohio State, and Iowa. Then the unexpected happened…
Despite the initial shock, Randolph’s choice should come as no surprise. The North Carolina A&T Aggie track team is currently ranked sixth in the nation. If that wasn’t enough, Randolph will get the unique opportunity to be coached by his father, Duane Ross.
What Should Aggie Fans Expect?
Ross entered the record books his senior season by becoming the 11th male in North Carolina state history to break the 47 second mark in the 400 meter dash. His 400m time (46.80) was the fastest recorded in North Carolina high school track this year and the ninth fastest time in the entire country!
In addition to the 400m dash, Ross ranked top ten in the 100m, 200m, and high jump. We look forward to watching what this father son duo can accomplish in the next four years.
