Written by Thomas Scott

Prairie View, TX | There’s something special brewing at the Baby Dome. The Prairie View A&M Panthers clinched the regular season SWAC Championship for the second straight year in a 73-62 win over Alabama A&M.

Not only did they secure the regular season title; last night’s win was the 26th straight home win for the Panthers. The streak is the second longest home winning streak in all of Division I basketball. If that wasn’t impressive enough, Prairie View has beaten dominated competition during the streak winning 60% of the games by double-digits.

Currently, Prairie View is (18-11, 14-2 SWAC) on the season. They finish their regular season with games against Alcorn State on Thursday and Southern on Saturday. The Panthers hope their regular season dominance and home streak can help propel them through the SWAC tournament and earn an invite to March Madness.
