Lorman, Miss | After two seasons with Vanderbilt, C.J. Bolar announced he will be leaving to finish the rest of his collegiate career at Alcorn State.
This is a huge addition to the Alcorn State Braves high powered offense. During Bolar’s freshman year with Vanderbilt, he had 34 receptions for 440 yards and two touchdowns. Statistically speaking, Bolar’s freshman year was the fourth best season by any wide receiver in Vanderbilt school history.
Next year Bolar will pair with SWAC Offensive Player of the Year, Felix Harper. Last season Harper threw for 2,954 yards, 33 touchdowns, and added six rushing touchdowns.
Without Bolar last season, Alcorn State’s offense still averaged 34 points per game. The SEC transfer gives Felix Harper and the Braves offense an additional weapon. On paper, Harper and Bolar have the potential to be one of the most dynamic duos in the SWAC this year. If all goes well, don’t be surprised to see this duo lead Alcorn back to the Celebration Bowl.
