Laramie, Wyoming | Schedule Texas Southern at your own risk! Last night, the Tigers completed an impressive 21-point comeback victory over Wyoming. This program has made a name for itself racking up several upset wins over the past few years.

The Tigers were the preseason favorites to win the SWAC, but you wouldn’t have been able to tell it by their first-half performance. Wyoming jumped out to a 19 point lead at halftime, and even increased their lead to 21 points early in the second half.

Texas Southern responded immediately with a 16-5 run of their own, trimming the Wyoming lead to just 10 points. With 11 minutes left in the game, the Tiger’s John Walker III (16 points, 6 rebounds) trimmed Wyoming’s lead to single digits.

Texas Southern completely dominated Wyoming from that point on. They outscored Wyoming 45-24 in the second half. In fact, the Tigers held Wyoming to one field goal during the final 6:33 seconds of the game!

Galen Alexandar made a layup with 1.6 seconds to seal the Texas Southern win.
